About the Role:

A challenging new opportunity exists to support the development and implementation of psychological health and wellbeing programs and initiatives for all members across CFA. You will focus on the prevention and early intervention approach to reduce psychological injuries, arising because of work conducted at CFA, for all career, volunteer, operational and non-operational staff.

Additionally, you will provide strategic direction, support, advice, programs, and services in psychological health & safety. As a technical and subject matter expert you will develop programs that focus on early intervention and best practice, in particular the delivery of educational and training programs that support the mental health of the CFA workforce.

About You:

To succeed in this important role, you be a qualified and currently registered Psychologist with registration through AHPRA with the Psychological Board of Australia. The ideal candidate will ideally demonstrate experience working in emergency services and/or with a volunteer work force. Furthermore, experience in developing and delivering psychological health education and training and managing and advising on complex mental health issues arising within the workplace, is essential.

Important to this role, is high level relationship building skills and expertise in applying a best practice psychological health and safety framework in an organisational context.
