About the service

Elouera Residential Services is a voluntary rehabilitation service for women, which is located in Orange, NSW. Elouera provides live-in recovery service for women 18 years or older is situated on a property in peaceful surrounds. The specialist child-focused support staff mean that children under 12 years old can remain with their mother for the duration of their stay. About the role

The Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Case Worker will deliver integrated individual counselling and case management and group programs to clients, in a residential rehabilitation setting. This role will also be involved in clinical review, assessment and intake.

You will be provided with ongoing support in your role from the Elouera Team Leader. There will be regular supervision and the opportunity for professional development, alongside being part of a collaborative and passionate team.

You will thrive on this opportunity to:

  • Assist the Team Leader in the establishment, promotion and ongoing management of the program.
  • Assist the Team Leader in the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures for LWP, as directed.
  • Provide high quality engagement, assessment, counselling (to individuals and groups) and support services to clients, and their families, using evidence based practice principles.
  • Provide peer support to and share expertise with other staff members.
  • Provide supportive counselling to clients and their significant others/where necessary

What you will bring to the role:

  • Minimum Diploma level qualification in relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience working in a residential AOD environment
  • Experience in contemporary evidence based AOD counselling practice, case management and intake and assessment
  • High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
  • Capacity to motivate and encourage clients to make change in their lives
  • Capacity for flexibility and self-direction in organising and managing workloads
