Aveo is seeking an experienced and passionate Enrolled Nurse to join the team at Aveo Durack Aged Care in Durack, QLD.

About The Role & Aveo Durack Aged Care

  • Part-Time position available (WK1 Thurs 06:30 to 14:00 WK2 Thurs 06:30 to 14:00 Fri 14:30 to 21:00)
  • Casual loading and weekend penalty rates may apply
  • Reporting to Aged Care Manager
  • Assisting in the provision of quality care services to our residents
  • Being resident-focused you naturally demonstrate an empathetic attitude to the needs of the residents and are driven by safety, quality, efficiency and performance
  • Ensuring the team complies with Aveo policies and procedures and that the Aged Care Accreditation Standards are met
  • Aveo Durack Aged Care is situated in Durack only a short walk from local bus stops. Free parking available onsite.
  • Aveo Freedom Aged Care's purpose is to provide a caring, safe and inspiring environment that supports our residents in living their lives to the fullest through the latter stage of their ageing journey
About You
  • Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia required
  • Previous experience working in gerontic Nursing essential
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current Police Check clearance
  • Ability to work within OH&S and a continuous improvement environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess


  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Good oral & written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability and passion to maintain clinical knowledge
  • Reliable & flexible approach to a 24hour rostering
  • Strong Leadership qualities - capacity to lead a care team clinically within scope of practice
  • NDIS clearance check or the ability to obtain one
