Job Description

  • Maternity Leave contract - 12 months
  • Guaranteed contract hours
  • Immediate Start, Cronulla - NSW

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team at our Stella Maris facility on a Part Time Maternity leave contract. This position will be 32 hours per fortnight and will include night shifts.

Responsibilities Will Include
  • Assessing resident’s needs and discuss the best way to plan and deliver their care;
  • Ensuring correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring the results of treatment;
  • Building relationships with the residents to encourage trust, while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns;
  • Preparing and maintaining resident’s records;
  • Working with resident’s family members to help educate them and the resident about their overall health condition;
  • Responding quickly to emergencies.
Successful Applicants Will Share a Genuine Desire To Care And Assist Consumers With a Strong Person-centred Care Focus And Will Need To Demonstrate
  • 2 years prior experience in an aged care facility;
  • Flexibility to be able to work all shifts (including night shifts);
  • A Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (mandatory);
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • A genuine desire to care and assist residents with a strong person centred care focus;
  • Current flu vaccination and criminal history record (dated within 6 months)
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
