Emergency medicine specialists! Are you interested working for an Australian service which believes in :

  • Exceptional patient outcomes and an engaged and healthy community.
  • A workforce whose efforts, training and experience are valued.
  • Innovative and integrated services.

This is a sensational location in Australia. It has incredible affordable waterfront living opportunities, beaches and lush forests. It also hosts great interlinked communities and suburbs with sophisticated shopping and cinema complexes, schools and local industries. It is just an 1hr and 20min drive to Sydney's CBD and short drive to another NSW city. These exciting posts are open to FACEM, about to get FACEM or equivalent with training completed in either UK, Ireland, USA, Canada or South Africa.

The hospital is a busy district facility seeing approx. 75,000 patients per annum through the ED with around 23% paediatrics. The hospital cares for the whole range of medical and surgical sub-specialties but is networked with a larger hospital which is the regional trauma centre. Excitingly, the employer is moving into a brand new purpose built facility later this year. It will have capacity to expand their in-patient service profile to reflect the growing demographic in the region. The department has an expanding consultant body which has a keen interest in teaching and education. The service is really enthusiastic in supporting and expanding the range of sub-specialty interests of the senior staff in ED.

The clinical director is looking for EM specialists who

  • are willing to supervise and teach junior medical staff to a high standard.
  • can initiate, develop and participate in quality improvement projects.
  • have first class communication skills to ensure quality and continuity of care.

Further, you will be a collaborator and an effective leader within a mdt context. You have excellent interpersonal skills ensuring you can liaise effectively with stakeholders and staff at all levels, at all times. You will have sound admin skills and be able to efficiently use the service's information systems.

There are multiple positions available.
