The role:
Undertake specialised Occupational Therapy clinical assessment and treatment.

Assist with the development of the occupational therapy services through planning, evidence-based practice, quality improvement and research activities and clinical placements for undergraduate students.

Maintain the Code of Ethics of Occupational Therapy Australia Limited, the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.

The department:
The Occupational Therapy Department in each region provides inpatient services to all acute and sub-acute wards including emergency medical, surgical, paediatrics and rehabilitation. The Department also provide services to outpatient clinics, district hospitals and community-based programs. These roles require working with a person-centred approach to promote, develop and provide high quality evidence based occupational therapy services.

Details of Appointment

Multiple Permanent and Fixed Term, Day Worker positions available, working up to 76 hours per fortnight.

Salary: $62,601-$95,776 per annum + 9.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement
Applicants should note that, for a period of six months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

Conviction checks in the following areas:
Crimes of violence
sex related offences
serious drug offences
crimes involving dishonesty
Identification check
Disciplinary action in previous employment check
Some positions may require staff to hold a current Working with Children Registration
