About the role
South West Healthcare's (SWH) School Readiness and Speech Pathology in Schools Teams have excitedly received an extension of funding in recognition of our service provision. We now have opportunities for allied health clinicians (Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers &/or Psychologists) to work with us in kindergartens and primary schools across South West Victoria.
The role will see you work with teachers, educators and families to promote:

  • Improved speech, language, social and early literacy outcomes
  • Self-regulation, positive and pro-social behaviours
  • Social and emotional wellbeing and mastery of everyday tasks
The successful candidate/s will work in an experienced multidisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers delivering services as part of the School Readiness Funding and Speech Pathology in Schools initiatives in partnership with the Department of Education and Training (DET). The team has strong and established links with the broader Child Health and Development (CHAD) Team at South West Healthcare.
Grade 1 and 2 clinicians part time or full time will be considered for the role. These roles are contracted until June 2022 with further opportunities beyond this time.
