About the Roles

Obstetrics & Gynaecology Provisional HMO positions

The provisional Obstetrics & Gynaecology HMO post is specifically designed to prepare you for your successful RANZCOG application. It is a strategically designed position that will enhance your competitive advantage nationally for your future career as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. These positions begin on the 7th February 2022 to 5th February 2023 for 12 months. The Prevocational Pathway for college application also requires a Diploma or Certificate of Women's Health (Dip OG/CWH) which is achievable in this 12 month appointment.

As part of our commitment to your college application you will be offered mentoring and support as well as interview practice and preparation. These positions also prepare you for an unaccredited registrar position at Monash Health.

Diploma of Obstetrics & Gynaecology/Certificate of Women's Health (Dip OG/CWH) HMO positions

Dip OG/CWH positions at Monash Health involve a six-month training program targeted at general practitioners/residents who wish to provide shared ante and postnatal care. The college require at least 6 months experience as well as a number of competencies followed by a written and oral exam. This is difficult to achieve in a 6 month period. A certificate of Women's Health is very achievable and all hospitals will accept CWH to participate in shared care programs

Please refer to RANZCOG website for more information.

The post is a 6 month position but can be partnered with a 6 month HMO general post (for which you will need to apply to the HMO General advert).

Please review the FAQ’s and follow the instructions if you are applying as a HMO2.
