The Position

St John of God Subiaco Hospital has a new opportunity for a motivated individual to lead our clinical operations and acute care teams as the Deputy Director of Nursing, Clinical Operations & Acute Care.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, Clinical Operations and Excellence, you will be responsible for leading & coordinating acute services, patient flow activities and the hospital after-hours team. In addition, the role drives optimisation of the nursing human resources service alongside the centralised rostering team.

As a member of the Nursing Executive Committee and Hospital Operations Committee, the DDON – Clinical Operations & Acute Services participates in planning, development and achievement of the hospital’s strategic direction. Responsibilities include the ongoing operational performance of the Nursing Division, under the lead of the Director of Nursing and in collaboration with fellow DDON’s.

You will be an experienced leader, who can work autonomously and as part of our leadership team to manage and support a highly trained and diverse workforce.

This position will be offered on a permanent full time basis.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Strong commitment to lead the Mission and Values of SJGHC, as outlined in ‘Our Vision’.
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Midwifery.
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Nurse/Midwife.
  • Proven capability to achieve results and operation excellence in an acute health care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape and manage strategy.
  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate and influence effectively and to build productive relationships.
