Your role in our future.

The Department of Anatomical Pathology is looking for a motivated and experienced medical laboratory technician to contribute to the provision of the histology and cytology services as well as research programs at Peter Mac. The position is a 5 month fixed term position, initially starting off as three days a week until the 27th September when it will revert to a full time position until the 24th December 2021.

The successful applicant must be self motivated, be able to successfully work as part of a team and be experienced in all aspects of routine histology. Excellent embedding and microtomy skills are essential. Experience in immunohistochemistry, cytological preparation and computer systems would be an advantage.

Excellent communication skills are required as interactions with pathologists, scientific, clerical and nursing staff as well as academic staff are features of the position.
