    Due to our rapid expansion, we are currently looking for a Bookings Team Leader with a strong background in Medical Administration.

    Location: Wheelers Hill (South East Melbourne)

    Work Type: Permanent Full-Time

    The Role

    Your primary responsibility will be to ensure high quality Patient Appointment Booking services to the patients and doctors in a caring and supportive manner, by effectively managing the Patient Booking functions of the company.

    Your day-to-day duties will include:

    • Responsible for ensuring high quality call handling of appointment requests from patients in a professional, caring and supportive manner;
    • Ensuring booking errors are kept to a minimum by carrying out quality assurance functions such as regular file reviews, and providing training & coaching, as required;
    • Identify training requirements & work with team members to facilitate ongoing development;
    • Engage the team to work towards targets & shared goals;
    • Create a collaborative & high-performing culture, where innovation is encouraged;
    • Responsible for ensuring that all booking staff are with any changes in procedure guidelines and ensuring their compliance thereof;
    • Prepare daily & weekly reports to Management detailing the performance of the Bookings Department and the assigned staff with relevant KPIs;
    • Assist with the rostering of Bookings staff;
    • Attend to staff queries in relation to bookings;
    • Monitoring procedural sessions ensuring sessions are filled and appointments confirmed;
    • Responsible for ensuring that referrals & requests are actioned in a proper & timely manner;
    • Address first hand any complaints raised by patients in relation to appointment bookings;
    • Required to assist with handling patient bookings calls as may be required.

    Essential Requirements

    • Completion of an accredited medical receptionist / medical terminology course
    • Formal tertiary qualification in medical/health related field is highly regarded
    • Previous experience in a similar administrative position would be well regarded
    • Previous experience in the use of clinical software packages highly desirable
    • High level computer proficiency with attention to detail and accuracy, particularly using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
    • Compassionate and professional approach towards patients
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • A current driver's license for travel preferred

    Salary: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
