About The Role

Mater Mothers’ Hospital is currently seeking applications for permanent Clinical Midwife -Natural Fertility Midwife within the Mater Mothers' Parent Education & Support team.

Mater Mothers' Hospitals are leaders in the provision of high-quality maternity and newborn services for the people of Queensland and northern New South Wales. Providing exceptional care and support of women and their families, Mater Mothers' Hospitals offer integrated services covering obstetrics, gynaecology, neonatology, and maternal fetal medicine.

Salary range: $36.32 - 46.67 (RN1) per hour plus superannuation

What You'll Be Doing

  • Caseload model of care
  • Facilitating and progressing client through an investigative and educational process in regard to subfertility
  • Fertility awareness client education
  • Recruitment to clinical trials and associated database maintenance.
  • Preconception and fertility assessment and research clinic
About You

To be successful in your application for this position it is essential that you have:
  • Essential:
    • Current registration with APRHA to practice as a registered midwife
    • Commitment to commencing Sympto thermal method. Part 1-3 training in natural fertility. Required to obtain a certificate in part one training program
  • Desirable:
    • Working towards to commencement of Sympto thermal method. Part 1 training in natural fertility. Required to obtain a certificate in part one training program
    • Adequate typing skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Experience and interest providing education
You will be working in a fast-paced environment that requires someone who is enthusiastic, able to show initiative and work well in a team. The ideal candidate for the position will be approachable with a mature and confident attitude. You will need to be organised, with ability to forward plan and have a high level of attention to detail.
