JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide specialised nutrition and dietetics research skills and services and coordinates research in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Metro North, to assist in the development of infrastructure and research capacity.

About The Role

  • Coordinate the clinical research program, and specific clinical research projects within Nutrition and Dietetics, RBWH and Metro North. The outcomes of which should influence the knowledge base of nutrition and dietetic clinical processes, standards of clinical practice and service delivery.
  • Identify research projects, lead major reviews and write guidelines and standards with minimal supervision by a more senior research position
  • Manage an allocated workload to deliver high level nutrition and dietetic clinical services to patients at the RBWH and across the continuum of care, within a multidisciplinary team, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards
  • Apply clinical evidence in the fully independent application of clinical and research expertise to practice to support continuous improvement of quality service delivery.
  • Deliver specialised clinical research skills and consultancy services within the professional and/or multi-disciplinary team, with minimal direct clinical supervision.
  • Evaluate, monitor and report on clinical research and quality improvement activity outcomes and take a leadership role in any subsequent implementation process
