The Role
Choose either a part-time or a full-time Registered Nurse role in our Hospital In the Home (HITH) team. You will be clinically experienced and thrive on seeing a wide variety of acute patients in the comfort of their own home, as an alternative to an inpatient in a hospital bed. The HITH unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with an on-call service. The successful candidate will be rostered on morning and evening shifts, including working every 2nd weekend and rostered on call.

You will make an impact by:

  • Having acute nursing care experience
  • Being adaptable to ever changing environments
  • Prepared to take on continued education to keep up to date with HITH care services provided
  • Having had oncology experience

To be successful in this role
You will be multi skilled in many areas of acute care, including administering a wide variety of intravenous therapies, including antibiotics, antivirals, steroids, chemotherapy, blood products and attending to complex wound care with negative pressure dressings. You will have the ability to work effectively as a team member as well as autonomously, have excellent clinical and communication skills with patients, carers and colleagues.

  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills
  • A sound track record in continued education and development
  • A current Australian driver’s licence
  • Previous Hospital in the Home experience and acute care experience (a minimum of 3 years current clinical experience)
