JOB DESCRIPTION

The Company

This is for a well-established multidisciplinary health clinic that provides a collaborative team approach to child, adolescent and adult services. Through a dedicated team of therapists they provide a variety of interventions in a range of services including Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Osteopathy.

The Role

  • Provide Occupational Therapy services to individuals with a disability within the family home, community and day programs.
  • Work within a family centred manner with the individual, family and carers to ensure the highest quality therapy for clients.
  • Contractor creating own schedules throughout the week which fit in with the client’s availabilities.
  • Ensure all therapies are evidence based and specific to the client
  • Ensure prompt completion of session notes and reports for each client
  • Maintain appropriate privacy and confidentiality as informed by NDIS Quality Safeguards and most importantly Back to Basics Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain reliability around attendance to appointments and diligent with times.
  • Ensure all requirements are met as outlined within contractors’ contract
The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, the following are the essential criteria:

Selection Criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and current registration with the relevant Registration Board and be an AHPRA registered Supervisor.
  • Working with children’s check
  • Must have Police check
  • Experience working with individuals within a disability
  • Further evidence of certifications in other methods for example, DIR Floortime.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and ability to work autonomously to manage set caseload
  • Possess a confident, positive, can-do approach and mindset
  • Enthusiasm and passion to work with individuals with a focus on client centred / family centred model
  • Can do attitude
  • Team player
The Centre is an approved employer sponsor. Therefore, while local candidates will be given priority, outstanding international candidates, ideally with current or pending AHPRA registration and extensive experience may also be considered for employment with TSS/482/484 work visa sponsorship.
