JOB DESCRIPTION

APM’s growth trajectory is continuing, and we need a qualified and experienced allied health professional to join our Newcastle / Maitland team in a senior role.

Working as a valued member of a dynamic team, you will join other passionate and committed professionals and should expect to be challenged everyday.

Our Rehabilitation Consultants use case management skills and a strong customer focus to provide occupational rehabilitation services to APM WorkCare's clients from a range of backgrounds.

Either full time or part time, you will be working across CTP, compensation, corporate wellbeing, DVA and Comcare work. Experience in these would be an advantage however not essential as training will be provided if required.

A day in the life of a Rehabilitation Consultant

Diversity of activities will feature in this role as you may be assigned Key Clients or more complex cases working with medical and health professionals, supporting injured employees with consultative rehabilitation services, conducting specialised assessment services related to your specific discipline.

You will also have the opportunity to undertake work as an Independent Assessor conducting Functional Capacity Assessments for people living with disability. APM is providing Independent Assessments for NDIS, and your work will help inform how the NDIA implements Independent Assessments nationally in 2021.

You will have great leadership skills and be capable of engaging and motivating team members towards success and the following

A qualified allied health professional, you will share our passion for reducing the personal and business impact of injuries and illnesses.

  • allied health qualifications (Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor or Psychologist)
  • professional registration or Membership with AHPRA / ESSA / ASORC
  • at least 2 years’ previous experience in occ rehab, injury management or similar
