JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Senior Rehabilitation Consultants use case management skills and a strong customer focus to provide rehabilitation services, including specialised assessments, to APM WorkCare's clients from a range of backgrounds including corporate Australia, while guiding, supporting and mentoring oother team members.

Coming from a range of allied health backgrounds, our consultants share APM’s passion to enabling better lives, and work with impacted individuals and employers to improve quality of life and achieve outcomes.

A day in the life of a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant

Working with medical and health professionals, you will support injured employees with consultative rehabilitation services, conducting specialised assessment services related to your specific discipline.

The role of a Senior Consultant requires someone capable of sharing knowledge and experience with others, mentoring more junior team members on their journey towards success.

As a case manager, you will provide a single point of contact to work with all key parties, including employers, insurer, and medical practitioners, making sure everyone has the right information and commitment to safe recovery. The Senior Consultant will also undertake more complex cases as required.

Skills

Open to new opportunities, you will have a non-judgmental approach to working with others combined with outstanding interpersonal skills, able to share information and mentor in a calm and logical manner that builds capacity within your team

  • allied health qualifications (Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, Physiotherapist, Psychologist or Rehabilitation Counsellor)
  • professional registration or Membership with AHPRA / ESSA / ASORC
  • at least 2 year previous experience in injury management/ vocational rehabilitation
