A day in the life of a Rehabilitation Consultant

Working with medical and health professionals, you will support injured employees with consultative rehabilitation services, conducting specialised assessment services related to your specific discipline.

Our focus is on health and safety, and we want you to assist people while reducing the impact of absence for the individual, the employer’s team and business.

In this role, you’ll be….

  • Completing functional capacity evaluations
  • Conducting worksite assessments to understand what duties your client can complete to help them achieve their short-term and long-term return-to-work goals
  • Collaborating with other health practitioners through case conferencing
  • Organising rehabilitation activities for your client incl. Pilates, Hydrotherapy, etc.
  • Reviewing and analysing medical reports e.g. MRIs, X-Rays, etc.

What makes a great Rehabilitation Consultant?

A Rehabilitation Consultant to provide a high level of direction and support in the delivery of workplace rehabilitation and injury management services to a portfolio of customers in Wollongong.

This role is suitable for someone looking for full time, permanent position.

As a qualified allied health professional, you will share our passion for working with employers and staff to reduce the personal and business impact of injuries and illnesses.

Open to new opportunities, you will have a non-judgmental approach to working with others combined with outstanding interpersonal skills and:

  • allied health qualifications (Exercise Physiologist, Physiotherapist, or Rehabilitation Counsellor)
  • professional registration or Membership with AHPRA, ASORC or ESSA
  • at least 2 year previous experience in injury management/ vocational rehabilitation
