It Operates Under The Salvation Army Bridge Program With Incorporates

The Dooralong transformation Centre is a 70-bed residential AOD Treatment Program for individuals who are experiencing alcohol, drugs and/or gambling dependencies.

About The Role

We are seeking a pro-active and values-driven Registered Nurse to be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing specialised nursing intervention, clinical assessments, groupwork and referral for clients admitted to the Dooralong Transformation Centre in a safe, sensitive and culturally appropriate manner which meets their immediate physical, mental and emotional needs which are in line with The Salvation Army (TSA) values and mission.

This is a permanent part time position 30.4 hours per week.

About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing and current registration with Australian Health P ractitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Knowledge and ability to work in the Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Field
  • Demonstrated understanding of Medication Management
  • Demonstrated capacity to work with clients having a dual diagnosis
  • Demonstrated capacity and experience in regard to developing and coordinating case management plans
  • At least two years in recovery, if applicable.
  • Clinical nursing and assessment skills and understanding of professional nursing requirements.
  • A current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
