About The Opportunity 

The South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) are recruiting Registered Nurse positions for COVID-19 Vaccination Program. These positions will be based primarily at Liverpool Hospital in the Eastern Campus however there may be opportunity to work at other sites across SWSLHD in Outreach Hub clinics in line with the ongoing roll out of the vaccination program.

Casual, Full Time and Part Time positions are available. These positions are temporary until 24 December 2021 with possibility of extension.

What you'll be doing

The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred care and work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

The COVID-19 Vaccination Program is responsible for the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccination to individuals as identified within the national rollout strategy. The Registered Nurse delivers high quality nursing care to clients presenting for the COVID-19 vaccination which is allighed in accordance to consistent to SWSLHD policies and procedures.

All applicants must also be compliant with Category A - Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases PD2020_017 (refer to Appendix 4 Checklist)

How to Apply

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with a multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
  2. Demonstrated evidence of critical thinking and the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery
  3. Computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
  4. Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles.
  5. Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster with flexibility working across multiple locations.
  6. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
