Job Description

A day in the life of a Paediatric Occupational Therapist may look like this, but really every day will be slightly different.

  • As the subject matter expert, you will be involved in sharing insights on the very best treatment plans and programs that represent best practice in Victoria.
  • Support clients, and their families and carers, to provide appropriate recommendations to access the right products, services, and equipment that is fit for purpose and safe.
  • Contribute to patient care and therapy of children and help develop an effective treatment plan and program.
  • Provide information regarding sensory motor skills, participation in daily living skills and the role of the occupational therapist to the clients' families.
  • Participate and support training in conjunction with health professionals and educate caregivers on high quality patient care.

The Successful Applicant

  • A relevant tertiary education in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for practicing membership of Occupational Therapy Australia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
  • Valid Working With Children Check and current Driver's License.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Association (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated experience to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and ability to be a positive role model who is professional, supportive, and inclusive.
  • Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance prior to your commencement.
