Perioperative Suite - Maitland Hospital

Maitland Hospital provides a range of comprehensive services across Medical, Surgical, Mental Health, Dental, Renal, Maternity and Child services, including one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the country. The hospital has 4 operating theatres and cover surgical procedures within the specialties of General, Endoscopy, ENT, Paediatrics, Urology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Orthopaedic elective and trauma. Maitland Hospital operating theatres operates across 7 days with emergency access 24 hours a day. Maitland Hospital Operating theatres has a focus on a Towards 2022 program to see us progress into the future and move to the new facility due for completion in 2022.

About The Opportunity

As part of the Perioperative Suite, this position will see you working collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team in Recovery. Across a 7 day rotating roster, you will be providing optimal care to recovering patients post operatively and ensuring high quality person-centred nursing care is delivered in accordance with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, and the policies and procedures of the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD).
