Occupational Therapists at The Ability Lab work within a multidisciplinary team and support our clients to optimise their independence through means such as equipment prescription and skills development.

A new and growing small business with a Director with extensive experience in the disability sector, The Ability Lab places great importance on using evidence-based interventionsand innovative approaches.

As an Independent Associate Occupational Therapist, you will - 

  • Have the flexibility to choose your own hours and manage your own calendar.
  • Be paid generously ($100+/hour) for your client work.
  • Have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team meaning great learning opportunities for you and great outcomes for clients.
  • Have access to regular support and supervision from accomplished, senior Occupational Therapists.
  • Have the opportunity to work from home and see clients in the community.
  • Spend minimal time on administrative tasks. We do the hard work in the administration and marketing so you have more time to do what you do best - be a spectacular OT!

Do you meet the following requirements?

  • Registered with AHPRA.
  • Values consistent with those of The Ability Lab (see our website www.theabilitylab.com.au for more information).
  • A keen interest in disability (experience isn't essential - our senior staff will support you to learn the ropes!).
  • An understanding of evidence-based practice and outcome evaluation in Occupational Therapy.
  • Willingness to actively contribute to team activities including meetings, social events and community involvement.
  • Driver's licence and access to own car.
  • Your own ABN.
  • The right to work in Australia.
  • Current Working With Children and Criminal Record checks (or ability to obtain these).
