About the Role

VenuesWest are seeking positive and friendly Creche Attendants to join our amazing Childcare Team. The Crèche Attendant is responsible for supervising, caring and nurturing children in the VenuesWest crèche facilities. This is a hands-on role interacting with the children, feeding, toileting and the implementation of indoor/outdoor experiences. You will display a high level of inter-personal skills and empathy towards both children and parents and the ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.

Our crèche caters for children aged 8 weeks to 5 years (inclusive) and our school holiday program caters for children aged 5 years to 12 years.

We currently have two part time permanent roles available offering a minimum of 7.6 hours per week for varying shifts between the hours of

8.30am – 1.00pm Monday – Friday and 8.00am – 12.00pm Saturday (HBF Stadium) and

8.00am – 1.00pm Monday – Friday and 8.00am – 12.00pm Saturday (HBF Arena).

Shifts will range between 3 hours – 5 hours in length.

Our primary locations are HBF Stadium in Mount Claremont; and HBF Arena in Joondalup. Ideally we are looking for candidates who are flexible to work at both venues, available Saturdays, and able to work extra hours to assist the team with leave coverage etc. We will however consider all applicants based on their experience and qualifications.

About the Person

We are looking for experienced childcare staff with exceptional communication skills and the following qualifications:

  • Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID004) and Provide CPR (HLTAID001); or capacity to complete within 2 months of commencement
  • Western Australian Working With Children Check; or capacity to obtain within 1 month of commencement

  • documentary evidence (i.e. working visa) of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the fixed term appointment

To be eligible for employment with VenuesWest you must have the following at the time of commencement:

  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last three months)
  • AHA COVID-19 – HOSPITALITY Hygiene Course: completion of this course prior to commencement is essential – as part of the onboarding process you will be required to upload the certificate of completion.

VenuesWest will utilise this recruitment process to place suitable applicants in a pool for a six month period from which fixed-term and permanent appointments may be made.
