About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a weekend Administration Assistant to join the team at Aveo Newstead Aged Care

As our Administration Assistant, you will be the "First Point of Contact" for our residents and work closely with the Aged Care Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the home.
You will provide administration support and have a customer centred approach to your work and ability to connect with our residents.

Aveo's purpose is to provide a caring, safe and inspiring environment that supports our residents in living their lives to the fullest through the latter stage of their ageing journey 

About the role & Aveo Newstead Aged Care:

  • Part-time position - Saturday and Sunday (10:00 to 16:00)
  • Weekend penalty rates may apply
  • Provide general administrative support including reception duties
  • First point of contact for resident, resident families and contractors
  • Assist with distribution of mail and email correspondence 
  • Assist with visitor enquiries and conduct home tours
  • Assist the Administration Officer with payroll and data entry

Aveo Newstead Aged Care is located in Gasworks, Newstead; only a short walk from train stations and bus stops. 

About you:

  • Current Police Check certificate
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening check
  • Experience in an Administration or Receptionist position
  • Previous industry and similar role experience (highly regarded)
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • A passion for building on resident customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work and prioritise work to meet deadlines and commitments
