JOB DESCRIPTION

Full Job Description
This is a newly created role within our team with responsibility for managing, developing, training and mentoring our Behaviour Support team, as well as ensuring quality of our services and compliance with NDIS regulations.

You are experienced and passionate about delivering Behaviour Support, being an advocate and role model for best practice. Applicants seeking leadership role are invited to submit and we are flexible with location across Australia.

Key responsibilities include

Assist with the recruitment, on boarding, training and on-going mentoring of the Behaviour Support team across Australia
Develop and implement intervention strategies in consultation with individuals, families and external behaviour support practitioners
Accountability for adhering to the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Commission PBS Framework and all associated reporting requirements
Monitor and regulate efficiency and accuracy of Behaviour Support Plans as per organisational policies, ensuring compliance with all industry requirements, laws and regulations
Assist individuals and their families to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies to reduce or eliminate complex or challenging behaviours.
Work collaboratively within a cohesive and dynamic team environment
Set high standards of performance for self and others, assuming responsibility and accountability for successful completion of project and deliverable

Qualifications

About You:
A minimum 2 years of experience in leading and managing a team
Demonstrated experience working with people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
Demonstrated experience in developing & delivering positive behaviour support plans & training key stakeholders
Eligible to be registered with the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Commission as a PBS Practitioner and supervise other Practitioners
Relevant qualification in allied health, education or similar and eligibility to register with the relevant membership body, and/or significant experience in Behaviour Support
A national police clearance and working with children check (or the ability to obtain one)

To be successful in this role, you will be solution focused, highly organised and possess exceptional people and communication skills. You will be passionate about what you do and pride yourself on delivering exceptional mentoring to our Behavioural Support Practitioner Team.
