We are seeking a Consultant for the Emergency Department (FACEM) to provide comprehensive clinical services in Emergency Medicine ensuring quality health outcomes for the patients of a Country Health Service in coastal Western Australia. Doctors who expect to achieve FACEM in the near future may also be considered for this position. The Hospital is increasing it's long term FACEM team and have several positions available. The Emergency Department receives and treats patients encompassing the full range of Emergency presentations and provides career development opportunities with process design, teaching and improvements in patient transport. As part of the relationship with the Rural Clinical School of WA, several of the current FACEM's have appointments at the School. On offer

Essential Requirements

Specialist registration with AHPRA Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM)
Hospital and location The Hospital is a major medical centre for the region and incorporates 24 - hour emergency care with a wide range of support services including an acute psychiatric unit, coronary care unit, cancer centre, domiciliary care unit, geriatric assessment unit, hospice care unit, maintenance renal dialysis unit, obstetric services, paediatric services, medical services, surgical services and a dental unit.
