Position Summary

Aboriginal Women's and Children's Liaiosn Officer, Werribee Mercy Hospital

We seek a skilled individual to work in our Aboriginal Programs team at Werribee Mercy Hospital

  • This is an Aboriginal identified position- only Aboriginal and Torres Strait peoples are eligible to apply. This position is exempt under the Special Measures Provision of S12 (1) of the Equal Oppoortunityy Act (VIC)
  • Permanant part time 30.4 hours per week
  • As part of a multidiciplinary team, provide support to promote culturally sensitive healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their families attending Werribee Mercy Hospital.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to the Victorian Aboriginal community, culture, values and health needs
  • High level skills in the provision of cultural advocacy and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Well developed communication skills and a demonstrated capacity to to work effectively within a multidiciplinary team
  • You are a dedicated and motivated individual
