St Vincent's Care Services (SVCS) Kew is a brand new contemporary boutique care residencelocated in one ofMelbourne's most prestigious suburbs and only 6 kms from the CBD. Our 135 bed facility offers excellence in a truly unique tailored person centred care model.SVCS is one of the only aged care providers, which is part of a wider hospital network, the St Vincent Health Australia network, and we have a unique clinical advantage.

We are recruiting for Laundry Assistants to commence work in July 2021. In this role you canuse your housekeeping skills, ensuring quality resident-focused care, ensuring our residents have clean and hygienic laundry.

At St Vincent's we understand work/life balance is important and there is the flexibility to work across various shifts (mornings, afternoons and nights). Rosters are planned a fortnight in advance but you can set your availability on the Emprevo App to allow your managers to know of your availability to pick up extra shifts when they become available.

The Successful Applicant Will Need To Demonstrate
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in laundry services, preferably in a health care environment but not essential
  • Experience in identifying unserviceable or defect cleaning equipment
  • Ad hoc support to the broader team as required, including food service and cleaning
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and manage labour intensive tasks
  • Current flu vaccination and National Police Certificate (within the last 6 months).
