What you'll be doing
The Radiology Clerk is one of importance to the smooth running of the Department. The position is the first point of contact between patients and the many services provided by the department. This position will be responsible for providing assistance to all modalities within the busy Radiology Department, making sure a high standard of assistance is always available in the care and wellbeing of all patients and staff.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them
  • High attention to detail, ensuring all patient information is recorded correctly for clinical and billing purposes, whilst maintaining a continuous high standard of confidentiality

  • Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively within the department. To be a Team member and to always ensure that effective service is always provided to all the patients and clients of the Radiology Department

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in administration and reception duties, including a busy phone system, to provide a high level of customer service to patients, staff and other agencies across all areas. This involves handling enquiries from patients, Medical Staff, Emergency Department, Wards and patients requiring services and appointments.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to remain calm, pleasant and demonstrate work skills

  • Have the ability to comply with the requirements of the departments that may, at late notice, require you to work extra hours and to have the ability to undertake any other duties as requested to satisfy the requirements of the role.
