Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, young people and adults living with a disability. Outreach AnglicareSA Therapeutic Services (OATS) provides specialist intervention, education and therapy services to children, young people and adults within education, community and work settings. Using exceptional interpersonal skills you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, deliver individualised services developed by Allied Health Professionals, focused on the needs of each customer and support across their activities of daily living.

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Deliver efficient and effective therapy to children, young people and adults living with a disability under the guidance of qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Participating in ongoing professional development, supervision and peer mentoring
  • Contributing to the innovation and growth of services to enable children and young people to live their lives to the fullest
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies, health service providers and therapists to achieve goals facilitating a holistic service approach.

What do you need to bring?

  • Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance OR currently undertaking degree in Occupational Therapy/ Speech Pathology
  • Previous experience (desirable) providing assessment and therapy to children, young people and adults living with a disability
  • Knowledge of a range of developmental delays and disorders
  • Safe Environments for Children and Young People Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Provide First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
