Your new team

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Speech Pathology team. This is a full time Grade 1 position, working 80 hours per fortnight. This position will work across a range of clinical areas of the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the community, sub-acute and the acute setting as part of the grade one rotational program.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provide quality care to clients through competent clinical skills, effective communication, and active participation within a multidisciplinary team environment

  • Through your developing clinical expertise, ensure excellence in client care and dissemination of information to staff and clinical teams

  • Contribute to the internal professional development program and participate in program development.

Your Contribution

Formal Qualifications

  • Qualifications which are acceptable for membership to the Speech Pathology Australia.


  • Experience working in the acute, sub-acute or community setting

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and in co-operation with others

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to Departmental Quality Projects or Service Development

  • Clinical skills in comprehensive assessment, management and discharge planning;

  • Professional behaviour and conduct which reflects self-initiative, confidentiality, self-evaluation and commitment to professional development

  • Previous experience in a related field and good working knowledge of community support services

  • Skills in Microsoft Office suite of programs

  • Commitment to continued professional development

  • Ability to manage a demanding workload, and effectively prioritise tasks.
