Aveo is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join the team as a Care Manager for our Aveo Freedom Concierge Balwyn community in Balwyn, VIC. 

This is a full time position giving you the opportunity to manage the day to day operations of a 75-bed freedom community while leading the clinical and care teams to ensure the provision of holistic, personalised care for our residents. 

About the role:

  • Ensuring residents have a care plan in place before move-in and completed in accordance with company policy thereafter;
  • Professional approach to engagement with all key internal and external stakeholders;
  • Mentor and coach staff;
  • Providing an up to date activity calendar that is published and easily accessible to residents at least monthly;
  • Liaise with Community Manager regarding the monthly community activity plan;
  • Responsible for ensuring care services comply with relevant legislative and accreditation requirements;
  • Holding regular staff meetings;
  • Providing high level customer service.

Aveo Freedom Concierge Balwyn is a beautiful community offering residential aged care and independent self-contained units with 24 hours nursing care. Easily accessible to public transport and free parking available onsite. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive experience in a clinical management or management role
  • Registration with AHPRA Div 1 required
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current Police Check clearance
  • Prior experience in community management, business management residential or community aged care highly regarded
  • Highly developed clinical assessment skills and the ability to lead the care team

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven ability to mentor and coach staff
  • High focus on and commitment to customer service, choice and control
  • Demonstrated knowledge in relevant legislation
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Office and care delivery software
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
