The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Paediatric Nurse to join the Paediatric Team at Northern Health as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager.

Paediatric nursing is a speciality that provides constant job satisfaction and career development. The Children's Ward is a 20-bed unit, which consists of 18 acute beds and 2 Paediatric Short Stay Unit beds which provides acute medical and surgical services to infants and children up to 18 years of age.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have

  • Extensive paediatric experience
  • Experience managing patient flow
  • The ability and commitment to work within a team
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Innovative problem solving, clinical, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent assessment skills
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • Ability to work a full rotating roster
  • A postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics or at least 5yrs Paediatric experience is essential for this position
