As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.

Your new team:

Our award winning Nurse Transition Resource Program (NRTP) is now open for applications. We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team. This position is based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital City and Royal Park Campus. Understanding the importance of a good work-life balance, our team provide a flexible and accommodating roster, to meet your needs.

Your Opportunity

  • Take the next step in advancing your practice to upskill and consolidate in a collaborative, stimulating and supportive team environment.

  • The NRTP team works across a variety of clinical settings including;

  • Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Renal, Emergency, Trauma & Orthopaedics

  • The NRTP team is a supportive and welcoming team. Successful candidates will be provided clinical nurse educator support as well as support from our experienced registered nurses and multidisciplinary teams.

About You

  • We are seeking Registered Nurses who strive to provide high quality patient care. This includes the patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams.

  • You can commit to a rotating roster Monday – Sunday, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Demonstrate a high level of reliability and professional conduct within The Royal Melbourne Hospital's values; People First, Lead with Kindness, Excellence Together.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development towards the nursing profession.

  • Recent experience in an acute hospital setting (minimum 12 months).

  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
