  • Casual COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Pharmacists 

  • Work in our COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics on weekends +/- weekdays

  • Based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to



  • Deliver a high quality pharmacy service to COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics

  • To engage in communication with other health professionals (internal & external) to ensure that the pharmacy vaccination clinic service is meeting the needs of patients and staff.

  • Aseptic manufacture of individual vaccine doses

  • To oversee stock control, determine stock levels and reordering activities as required.

  • To help maintain the vaccine inventory according to legislation and MH policies, and any associated reporting to the Commonwealth/Department of Health

  • Enhance your portfolio with supportive guidance from mentors.


Your Contribution




Essential Experience for Performance in this Position:




  • Registered, or eligible for general registration, as a pharmacist with AHPRA

  • All pharmacists are expected to participate in a regular roster at a minimum level of a basic grade pharmacist.

  • Commitment to customer focused service.

  • Capacity to perform under pressure, to meet time constraints and determine work priorities. Well-developed written and oral communication skills.

  • Well-developed staff supervision and interpersonal skills.

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant aspects of hospital pharmacy. In particular, a demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA) Guidelines and Code of Good Manufacturing Practice

  • A commitment to continuous quality improvement process and ongoing change.

  • A commitment to continuing education and the ability to keep abreast of current knowledge and accepted practices

  • Minimum 12 months experience as a qualified pharmacist


Desirable but not essential for Performance in this Position:



  • Relevant post graduate qualification

  • Demonstrated commitment to development of the profession through involvement in relevant pharmacy organisations. (e.g. SHPA, PSA, ACPP, AHP) or participation in relevant groups

  • Hospital pharmacy experience
