VMO - Orthopaedics

62 hours per fortnight

12 month long service leave relief position

Ballarat Health Services is seeking to appoint a VMO – Orthopaedics, with a broad range of skills to join its busy Orthopaedics department. The successful candidate will join a team providing Orthopaedic surgical services to patients from across the Grampians region.

The successful candidate will have FRACS, full specialist registration and be prepared to work across the Orthopaedic surgery field.

The role will involve 3 ½ days per week including an outpatient clinic and two operating sessions per week, trauma lists per week, a weekly orthopaedic unit meeting and both clinical and non-clinical support time. The successful candidate will also participate in the out-of-hours orthopaedics consultant on-call roster; an on call commitment of 1 in 6 is required. 

Remuneration is through a rolled up contract covering all contractual responsibilities.
