About the role

We are looking for passionate Palliative Care Registered Nurses to join our team on a full or part time basis, on a flexible rotating roster. As a dedicated Palliative Care Unit, we work collaboratively as a united team alongside our allied health and medical staff to ensure positive patient outcomes. We are proud to announce that we have yet again exceeded our Palliative Care Outcomes Collaboration (PCOC via University of Wollongong) benchmarks. However, we believe that there is always still room to grow, and our involvement within research and quality improvements make for an exciting time to join us.

About you

To be successful in this role you need to have:

  • Completed a Graduate Nurse Year (this is non-negotiable)

  • Current valid registration with AHPRA 

  • Current experience nursing in palliative care setting

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills

  • An understanding of conflict resolution and negotiation skills

  • Computer literacy

  • Excellent patient assessment skills and attention to detail

  • Strong commitment to high quality patient care

  • Great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and trouble shoot problems effectively

  • A positive and proactive attitude and be work as a team

  • An adaptable and approachable demeanour
