About the Role


The Assistant Deputy Director of Pharmacy – Victorian Heart Hospital will work to support the implementation of the Victorian Heart Hospital, providing expert advice on the safe use of medicines and medicine management using sophisticated digital systems.

About You / Your Experience and Expertise


You are highly professional with a willingness to lead by example and to role model expectations of your people. Your positive approach enables you not only to articulate a vision, but to bring your people with you.


You possess extensive experience as a hospital pharmacist and have successfully led or managed teams. You have knowledge of and experience in medication management workflows in a digital environment. You have experience in project management, particularly in implementing technology solutions such as an electronic medical record, ‘smart pumps’ or automated dispensing cabinets. With an established track record in research (peer reviewed publications and presentations), you also demonstrate experience in educating pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, interns and/or students.
