Creating exceptional experiences is at the heart of everything we do for our patients, their families, and our people across our specialised services within maternity, neonatal and women’s health.

The Women’s hospital offers treatment for all gynaecological conditions and is a tertiary referral centre for women with chronic pelvic pain, issues related to menopause, pelvic floor problems or other urogynaecological problems. Women with medical complications in the early part of pregnancy are cared for by the gynaecology units. The Women’s also cares for women who are having a termination of pregnancy or who have complications related to reproductive biology such as IVF.

The major areas of focus for the cancer service are gynaecological and breast cancer. The Oncology Unit has integrated inpatient and low risk chemotherapy services to promote co-ordinated, patient focussed care. Our nursing staff work across all these services. Qualified nursing staff are also rostered to work in the complex care unit which cares for women from both the maternity and gynaecology units who need increased monitoring and intervention.
