Intensive Care Nurses – Part Time and Casual

The Mount Hospital is located at the base of Perth’s prestigious Kings Park, and offers a variety of specialities for the population of Perth and Western Australia. With the states only Level 3 Intensive Care Unit, the Mount Hospital also offers Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Oncology, and General surgical services, in addition to medical and rehabilitation services.

Our Level 3 Intensive Care Unit consists of a dynamic team who care for the largest number of Cardiac Surgical patients in Western Australia, in addition to those surgical and medical patients that require intensive treatment and specialist care.

We are looking for positive, enthusiastic and energetic Nursing staff who have the desire to learn, adapt to new and innovative approaches to best practice, and support quality improvements. You would be joining our hard working team of Nurses, Doctors and Allied Health all dedicated to providing outstanding care who take pride in the ability to exceed the patient’s expectations. We are looking for both casual and part-time employees to join the Mount ICU team.

Essential Criteria

  • Post Graduate Certificate in Intensive Care/Critical Care Nursing, or working towards same
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the Intensive Care environment
  • Relevant advanced clinical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Demonstrated ability to address patient care issues
  • Current Registration with AHPRA


Desirable Criteria
  • The ability to work within a flexible rostering system
  • Participates in quality activities relating to any of the Australian National Standards
  • Commitment to ongoing Professional Development
