Please note the salary has increased to $132,200 p.a. pro rata (inclusive of base salary and 9.5% superannuation) plus generous salary packaging and additional allowances as outlined in the award where appropriate.

Position Profile: The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is responsible for providing a clinical consultancy service within the Oncology Department of Fiona Stanley Hospital; developing standards of practice; implementing changes to clinical practice; educating staff and initiating research and quality improvement activities. The CNC is responsible for the provision of a consultation service within their area of expertise across hospital services and external sites.

As a senior nurse the CNC has professional accountability to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery and provides mentorship and role modelling for nurses and contributes to the advancement of the profession, in keeping with the vision and values for Fiona Stanley Nursing.

Area Profile: Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
