ATSICHS Brisbane is a not-for-profit community owned health and human services organisation delivering on the unique health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in greater Brisbane and Logan. We are the largest, most comprehensive Aboriginal Medical Health Service in Queensland. About the role:
Medical Receptionist Reliever will be working across ATSICHS Medical Clinics at Woolloongabba, Northgate, Browns Plains, Logan and Loganlea.

As a first point of contact the Medical Receptionist Reliever is required to ensure the patient flow is conducted with minimal interruptions by effectively using time management skills, informative communication skills while observing the overall demeanour of the patients in waiting.

Skills and Experiences:
Current First Aid & CPR
Certificate III Business Administration (or equivalent) or relevant experience
Previous experience working in an administration and /or service coordination role
Experience working within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service
Previous experience working with an electronic Patient Management System such as MMEx
Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS) and the Medicare system and Practice Incentive Programs (PIP)

Desirable, but not mandatory:
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and understand the cycle of care patient system
Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture and ways of doing business
Demonstrated organisation skills, including an ability to multi-task, to plan, set and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, and to work independently, efficiently and effectively
Knowledge of and experience working with – AGPAL, PIP IHI Revenue and MBS (Medicare Billing Schedule)
Interpersonal communication skills that demonstrate your ability to problem solve and negotiate positive outcomes
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a focus on client focused outcomes
