We are looking for a Part time Clinical Research Coordinator (2.5 days per week). You will be responsible for conducting clinical research activities through the coordination and delivery of both direct and indirect care and associated data collection for clinical trials. You will ensure that all research is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, the National Health and Medical Research (NHMRC) standards, the Australian Safety and Quality Framework for Health Care and relevant Australian laws and regulations. This role can be based in NSW, VIC or WA.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain an awareness of study start-up activities;
  • Attend Site Initiation Visits for allocated trials;
  • Have a thorough understanding of all trials being conducted in the state, particularly the protocol, investigator brochure, participant information and consent forms, budget, timelines and safety reporting requirements;
  • Establish and organise study files, including regulatory binders, study specific source documentation and other materials as required;
  • Work with the CRC Team Lead to develop and update patient recruitment plans and ensure
  • recruitment targets and timelines are met;
  • Work closely with the CRC Team Lead and Investigators to manage day-to-day research activities;
  • Schedule protocol specific assessments and procedures ensuring Investigators are available during study visits to perform required tasks;
  • Liaise with and facilitate collaboration between relevant hospital departments and third parties to ensure the provision of quality clinical services;
  • Prepare for and host site initiation, monitoring and close out visits;
  • Maintain all study related documentation and ensure data queries are completed in a timely manner;
  • Complete all study close out activities including archiving of all study records;
  • Maintain open and regular communication with key stakeholders, in particular sponsor representatives;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in regulatory, administrative and clinical frameworks and current clinical issues and practice as they pertain to research;
  • Ensure all research is performed in accordance with GCP guidelines, NHMRC standards, the Australian Safety and Quality Framework for Health Care, relevant Australian laws and regulations, Standards

Who You Are
  • An undergraduate degree deemed equivalent in Science, Nursing, Pharmacy or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in nursing, science or research
  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an effective, proactive and co-operative manner
  • High level of initiative and flexibility and the ability to meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and Australian Regulatory guidelines; Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, the National Health and Medical Research (NHMRC) standards, the Australian Safety and Quality Framework for Health Care and relevant Australian laws and regulations
  • Flexibility in working times and locations
  • Ability to travel interstate, if required.
