About the role:
As a Registered Midwife you will provide safe, compassionate woman centred care within the maternity and gynaecology service, ensuring care is delivered in partnership with women and their families. In this role you will be working as the Midwife in charge after hours in the Inverell Maternity Unit which is a 6 bed unit with 2 birthing rooms, with a bath in one for water immersion during labour. The Maternity Unit has been part of a recent redevelopment and has had a new hospital opened in 2020.

In this role you will provide care for women during labour, birth and the post-natal period. You will also take a leadership role in coordinating midwifery care, working in partnership with Registered Nurses, Student Midwives, and Assistants in Midwifery and the multidisciplinary team in a collaborative model which places the woman at the centre of her maternity care. You will be supported in this role with an orientation period and access to a Clinical Midwife Educator, A Clinical Maternity Unit Manager and Clinical Midwife specialists.

About you:
You are an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Midwife with the skills to work as an in charge Midwife after hours and have sound clinical and decision making skills. You are a personable individual with the ability to manage and organise time effectively and a can do attitude.
