What you'll be doing

The Oral Health Therapist will provide dental care within the scope of the Dental Practice Board of New South Wales Codes of Practice for oral health therapists. They will provide direct patient care in accordance with NNSWLHD clinical standards and policies to ensure the provision of high quality and efficient dental services.

Selection criteria

  • Oral Health Therapy qualification eligible for registration as an Oral Health Therapist with AHPRA Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Dental Board of New South Wales
  • Understanding of and commitment to population and public oral health with willingness to manage health promotion programs and activities, including skills in presentation, training and group facilitation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people including co-workers, patients and other health professionals, with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of current Dental Infection Control standards and policies.
  • Ability to participate in quality activities.
  • Current Driver’s Licence valid for use in NSW and Australia and willingness to travel and work in various locations.
