Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dynamic Scientific Officer to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!

Do you have a bachelor’s degree in Science and experience in a relevant area of research such as haematology, immunology, cell biology and/or cancer biology?

Do you have demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and publication of scientific reports, and development of written standard operating procedures? 

This position is required to perform translational research projects within the CRC for Cell therapy Manufacturing and is the link between basic research and full GMP manufacturing in the clean room laboratories of CMT at RPA.

The purpose of this position is to conduct research on milestone-driven grant funded projects, leading to development of clinically-relevant cell and gene therapy manufacturing methods.

In this position you will translate your skills in cell enrichment, cell expansion, gene transfer, flow cytometry, quantitative PCR, and bioassays into validated processes and procedures to produce commercial ready data.
