Reset Life Program – multiple new vacancies

TaskForce has been providing drug treatment services since 1973. Core services focus on addressing social issues of drug related problems, unemployment, mental health and risk taking behaviours, supporting young people, adults and families to transition back into“mainstream” services and supports. TaskForce is excited to add the Reset Life Program to the suite of services offered to clients ready to take the next step in their addiction recovery. This is an intensively supported and structured outpatient program for adults, based on the Matrix model.

About the program

ResetLife is a structured, manualised intensive outpatient program for adults aged 18 years and above and provides individual and group treatment 3 days per week, and the opportunity to attend informal supports (specifically SMART Recovery and 12-step programs) on other days.

The structured program involves 16 weeks of intensive treatment, followed by 36 weeks continuing care. In the first 16 weeks, participants attend:

  • Individual and conjoint family therapy sessions
  • Early recovery skills group (psychoeducation on skills to achieve sobriety)
  • Relapse prevention group (2x per week for specific skills to prevent relapse)
  • Family education group (information to encourage ongoing abstinence)
  • Social support (building social skills for a healthier life

There are five staff roles in the Reset team:

  • Key supervisor, responsible for program management
  • Primary therapist x2 – facilitating individual sessions and some groups, also case management.
  • Family therapist – responsible for the social and family support groups
  • Peer Support coordinator – a peer role, who co-facilitates sessions.

About the vacancies

There are 4 current vacancies in the Reset team:

Key Supervisor this role will lead a multi-disciplinary team to implement and deliver the intensive outpatient treatment service. This role will be responsible for the supervision and oversight of the team. Applicants will require a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the delivery of clinical interventions, supervision and program management. Please click here for a position description.

Primary therapist x 2 these roles provides a range of treatment interventions including Assessment, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and psychoeducation via individual and group facilitation treatment modalities. Applicants will require a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the delivery of clinical interventions (CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, etc) with individuals experiencing complex alcohol and other drugs use. Family therapist this role facilitates the social and family education support groups. Applicants will require a minimum of of 5 years’ experience in the delivery of clinical interventions (CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, etc) with people and families. Peer Support Coordinator this is a part time peer role, who co-facilitates sessions. The candidate must have lived experience but be advanced in heir own recovery with at least 12 months sobriety. Please click here for a position description.
