About the role

Enjoy the peaceful surrounds at our 90-bed aged care facility in historical Maryborough, where we specialise in ageing in place.

In this leadership role you will be enabled and encouraged to think and perform differently, and will ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care possible.

You will be a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Care Manager (Registered Nurse, Level 3) with the ability to provide quality holistic care, operational excellence and supervision to staff of Churches of Christ Aged Care Service.

As an integral member of the Seniors and Supported Living Group, you will liaise and work closely with the Service Manager in relation to all aspects of the business. This will include quality compliance, human resource management, ACFI maximisation and complaints resolution. In this role you will be expected to coordinate and promote a consultative approach to resident care planning and quality management activities, monitor and review nursing best practice, clinical programs and procedures as well as oversee the provision of care by external service providers.

You will have the demonstrated ability to effectively implement significant change at a Service level, and to develop a work team through the change process. You are often recognised for your highly developed problem-solving and conflict resolution, decision-making and negotiation skills.

As the Care Manager, ideally your experience and qualifications include:

Proven track record to effectively manage and lead the clinical care of an aged care facility;
A current registration with the AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, and demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity;
Strong knowledge of the aged care accreditation system & compliance as well as advanced knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) and regulatory requirements for aged care facilities;
Experience in educating, mentoring and motivating staff is desirable.

Please note, all employees working within our residential and community aged care will need to be immunised for Influenza by 31/05/2021. If you have already received your flu vaccination, we ask that you provide proof as part of the recruitment process.
