We have an exciting opportunity for a Leisure & Lifestyle Officer to join St Vincent’s Care Services at our facility in Kangaroo Point . SVCS Kangaroo Point (locally known as Marycrest and Lilian Cooper) offers progressive care in a stimulating and caring environment, where staff ensure residents feel welcome, valued and safe. The facility has earned a wonderful reputation as a place where elderly residents are cared for with respect and compassion.

St Vincent’s Care Services Kangaroo Point is co-located with St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane near the iconic Story Bridge, and overlooks the meandering Brisbane River and the city skyline.

Job Description

You will need:

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Leisure & Health (or equivalent qualification) – essential;
  • Previous experience in a similar role within Aged Care (preferred);
  • Previous experience with dementia clients, developing individual programs focusing on person centred care;
  • Excellent communication skills and passion for working with the elderly;
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • A current National Police Certificate and flu vaccination.
